ABOUT JANESCE

JanesceJanesce is a range that offers more that just a cream or lotion as a quick fix for your skin. Naturopath Janice Smith realized that while treating clients for other complaints their skin was also improving. Janice has since worked with the most difficult skin problems by developing her own range of organic, plant based products as well as addressing the difficulties of a modern diet.
The two main rules of Janesce are first, do no damage to the skins’ acid mantle and second, hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.

The Janesce plan for balancing a damaged skin starts with hydrating the skin to an important 13% dew point. This is achieved by soaking the skin three times, morning and night, with Rose or Lavender essential oil (this has been emulsified with an extract from coconut to make it water soluble). Next, while the skin is still damp, it is misted with plant proteins to lock that hydration onto the surface. The appropriate concentrate and moisturiser follow and you will find that your skin stays hydrated all day.
For long-term improvement to skin function your beauty therapist and Janesce provide you with plenty of information on foods that correct or distress the skin.
The client gains a greater understanding of just how much impact her diet has on the way she looks and feels. And for those particularly difficult cases the client has access to a Naturopath through her beauty therapist.

One of the most important aspects of the Janesce plan is safflower oil. It is easily digestible and has important effects on the skin due to the high content of omega 6, an essential fatty acid, vital to good skin function. People suffering from eczema, psoriasis, flaky skin and allergies are often lacking in good sources of omega 6. A Jancese therapist always has organic safflower available as well as other organic products such as breakfast cereal, nuts, dried fruits and herbal teas. Many of the minerals and nutrients required by the body are found in these items.
